In these last 5 years, up and coming producer Ruff Beatz has become a household name around NC's Triad. Although he's placed songs with DaBaby, Moneybagg Yo, Fetty P. Franklin, Shug Da Trappa, YungLA and Hott LockedN of 2 Chainz' very own record label TRU, his independent grind shows that he's hungry for more. Fearless and refuses to lose, we're gonna let you in a tad on Ruff Beatz.

     At the age of 16, Ruff Beatz moved to NC from Ohio. He attended Southwest Guilford High School in High Point graduating Class of 2013. After graduating, working several jobs, and a semester in college, Ruff Beatz made the ultimate decision to turn a hobby into his lifestyle.

"I always loved music, but I never really knew it would go this far. Not even close. I grew up playing ball and drawing you know? Visual art and all that. Music ended up being a hobby turned lifestyle huh, its crazy."

     Ruff Beatz has spent most of his career in the doors of popular recording studio Chophouze Studios now based in Atlanta, GA. Throughout the years at Chophouze, Ruff connected with an abundance of artists like King VMA, Cre, Jimmy Street, Chophouze Reece, and Sleazus Khrist just to name a few. "Cre and Jimmy Street got a hold of me at the same time, it skyrocketed from there, everybody wanted to get with me. That's a great feeling."

     As well as artists, Ruff Beatz collaborated alongside producers SteveGotKeyz, Chophouze Jay, Shawty Fresh, Timmy Da HitMan, DuneByDaWay, and more. "Collabs are A1, the creativity gets crazy when its genuine. Everybody bringing they mix to the bowl. You never know what you gonna get but it's gonna be some heat."
